2022 Online Registration

Online registration for the 2022 49K ultra, marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, 5K, The Anchorage Mile, and Kids' 2K is now open.


Early registration fees will apply through December 31, 2021. Fees will increase thereafter at four intervals. Last chance, in-person registration will be on August 19 and 20 at bib pickup. Last chance registration for The Anchorage Mile will be Friday, August 19, 2022.

There is absolutely no race day registration or bib pickup. Participants may not switch events after registration closes at 4 PM on Saturday, August 20. There are no refunds, no transfers of bibs.

*There is no registration for The Anchorage Mile on race day, August 20, 2022.

^The Military Mile is free for all active military members and veteran military members.

If you register for a Sunday race, you can receive the Back 2 Back Challenge discount on The Anchorage Mile.


Engraving for Finisher Medals

If you would like to order a small metal plate, an iTab, engraved with your name and finish time, to attach to the back of your Finisher's Medal, you may do so online when you register. The Anchorage RunFest does not fabricate the iTab, we send race results to the manufacturer who mails them directly to participants.

Refund and Transfer Policies

All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable—no exceptions. You may not give, sell, or exchange your entry or bib to another person. Entry fees may not be rolled over to another year. This policy applies to all entrants and is in effect no matter what the reason for being unable to participate.


COVID19 Statement

Anchorage RunFest is planning to hold an in-person event, likely with some COVID-19 mitigation protocols in place. Any modifications will depend on the municipal, state, and federal guidelines in place at the time of the event. While we hope this won’t be necessary, if it needed we anticipate possible modifications that may include: a limited field, scaled-back course support, wave starts, and restrictions at the start and finish. In the unlikely event that we are required to cancel the in-person event, we will hold a virtual race. All participants will be converted to a virtual event and we will not defer racers to 2023.

The goal for our 2022 Anchorage RunFest is to have a fun and safe event. The health and safety of our participants and community is our top priority.


Event Changes

If you decide to change your event after your have registered, please login to RunSignUp to make the change. There is a $5.00 fee for any event change and there are additional fees for upgrades.


Bib Pickup

Early Bird Bib PickUp is Thursday, August 19, from 11:00 AM until 5:30 PM at the Skinny Raven Downtown at 800 H St.
Bib pickup will be held on Friday, August 20, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, August 21, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Marriott hotel at 820 W 7th Ave. There is no bib pickup on race day. Read more about bib pickup here.

Safety Rules

PLEASE NOTE: As a safety precaution for our runners, ABSOLUTELY NO strollers, skateboards, roller blades, or pets (on or off leash) will be allowed on the race course. If you are on any part of the course with any of these you will be automatically disqualified.


Run For Good

Anchorage RunFest partners with charity organizations to allow our runners the opportunity to raise funds for these not-for-profit organizations. See our Run For Good page for a list and description of these groups.


Live Athlete Updates

Do you want to follow the progress of friends who are racing? You can receive updates on athletes as they cross points on the course and have them sent to Facebook, Twitter, or mobile phone. The sign up link will be posted as soon as it is available.


Pasta Feed

The pasta feed will be held Saturday, August 21 from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM in front of FlatTop Pizza. Tickets are $14 per person, and may be purchased during the online registration process, or in person at bib pickup. We will have more information as race day approaches.
