Marko Cheseto is the current marathon record holder for anyone on two prosthetics in 2:37:23, a record set at the Chicago marathon in 2019. Marko is a Nike and team Ossur athlete. A Kenyan native and former University of Alaska Anchorage track and field athlete and two time All-American, Marko and his wife Amanda are now residents of Florida with their three daughters and their lovely dog Sariah. Marko works for prosthetic clinic Prosthetics & Orthotic Associate in Orlando Florida and does motivational speaking. Marko became an amputee by losing both his feet below-the-knee due to frostbite in 2011. He loves to coach kids sports and fishing as a hobby.
Bart Yasso is known as the Mayor of Running the now retired Runner's World Chief Running Officer. Yasso the inventor of the Yasso 800s, a marathon-training schedule used by thousands around the world. He is one of the few people to have completed races on all seven continents from the Antarctica marathon to the Mt. Kilimanjaro marathon. In 1998 won the Smoky Mountain Marathon. He has also completed the Ironman five times and the grueling Badwater 146 mile run through Death Valley.
Adding to his induction into the Running USA Hall of Champions Yasso was recently inducted into the Road Runners Club of America Distance Running Hall of Fame.
